Stephen Kings Sohn [[Owen King|Owen]] war in seiner Jugend ein "Fan" der [[Modellfiguren|Spielfigurenreihe]] '''G.I. Joe''' der Firma "Hasbro". Die Firma hat eine dieser Figuren nach ihm benannt:
* Codename – Sneak Peek
* Filename – King, Owen
* Birthplace – Bangor Maine
* Military – Infantry
Diese Figur wurde von [[1987]] bis [[1989]] hergestellt. [[1988]] gab es von dieser Figur eine zweite Version. In [[Europa]] gelangte diese Figur unter dem Namen ''Tiger Force Sneak Peek'' in den Handel. Der Sammlerpreis für eine noch original eingeschweißte Figur liegt in den [[USA]] bei ca. 100 $.

Aufgrund der Leidenschaft von [[Owen King]] für diese Figuren, fragte man bei [[Stephen King]] an, ob er nicht für die Reihe selbst eine Figur entwerfen könne. Heraus kam die Figur des Hypnotiseurs ''Crystal Ball''. Diese Figur wurde ebenfalls von [[1987]] bis [[1989]] hergestellt.
